CURRENT SHOW: HAYES HEARTS

HAYES HEARTS: Artist Reception Sat 2/15 2-4 pm, exhibit runs Sat & Sun thru February

A special exhibit of sculpture hearts by Dan Newcome @dnuke at Hayes Valley Art Works February 9 โ€“ 28

Artist Reception: Sat, Feb 15th, 2-4 pm. All welcome! Wine & cheese โ€ฆ and hearts!

Artist Statement: โ€œHearts are a universal visual form that spans cultures and transcends language. I became obsessed with the familiar form while collaborating on a San Francisco fundraiser and never stopped. Steel, like love can be evergreen: rusting and renewing over time. Most of my works incorporate metal that has had past lives and in some cases literally burns, showing the patina of past flames. All of my pieces are cut, welded, and formed here in San Francisco where I live.โ€ โ€“ Dan Newcome

Additional work on view by 12 local artists
