Radical Relief: Community Meeting and Potluck

You’re invited!   Kid friendly, all inclusive.  Hayes Valley Neighborhood Assn Community Meeting is tonight at Hayes Valley Clubhouse/Playground at corner of Buchanan and Hayes.  HVAW exhibiting artist Matthew Kowalski is featured in a discussion of “Radical Relief.”

HVNA Radical Relief Community Meeting - Animals welcomeWe will be discussing the two main themes of his life story in a panel discussion: Part 1 on Homeless issues, Part 2 – Matt Kowalski Part 3 – Community Art in Hayes Valley.

Matthew Kowalski bridges the discussion of homelessness into art, as he spent 27 years homeless in San Francisco, and now is a homeowner, thriving community member, artist, author, and Recovery counselor. He will share his story and Hayes Valley Art Works & Art on Site arts events coming up in August with his work. We’ll also be discussing the great new projects of Art on Site and Art Trail SF and Hayes Valley Art Works. There is a lot on the agenda so we are hoping to keep things moving along briskly!

We will have a community potluck from 6-7, then the meeting will be 7-8:30
