Hayes Valley Art Works in January

By Jay Rosenberg

Happy New Year from Hayes Valley Art Works, the temporary arts incubator at Fell and Laguna.

I’d like to invite you to come by whenever we are open. You can check out the latest installations and exhibits being made and planned, paint or build something, have a seat under a tree, chat with neighbors and curious visitors, take photos or write a song, plan a workshop or lend a creative hand as we work together to continue to decorate and beautify the space.

This month, we are open on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays from 12-5pm.

Many of you noticed that our schedule for the month is posted on the back page of the latest issue of The Hayes Valley Voice. You can get your copy of The Voice and also find our schedule on the Hayes Valley Neighborhood Association website. There’s also a copy of the presentation I gave a few weeks ago at the last HVNA Community Meeting  called “Come to Hayes Valley Art Works!!”

Lastly, please join us on Wednesday, January 6th from 2-3pm. We will be joined by our neighbors from the SF Zen Center for a short opening ceremony led by Abbot Ed Sattizahn. It will be a fairly simply ceremony, not a huge event or “Grand Opening”. We’ll be open from 12-5pm, so please feel free to stop by anytime if you can’t make it for the ceremony at 2pm. We’re looking forward to this special occasion!

Thank you for being a part of our community. Please feel free to share this invitation with your fellow artists and friends.

With tremendous gratitude,
Jay
