Hayes Valley Art Works – Small Art Show Submittal
Hayes Valley Art Works is accepting submissions for a group exhibition to be shown in Fall 2025. This call is open to the public.

HVAW Small Art Show
Artists and creators, join us in the celebration of the small yet sublime! Submit your fine small art works 12” or smaller to the Hayes Valley Art Works Small Art Show. Painting, photography, printmaking, multimedia, 3D, fiber art, ceramics & sculpture. Entry fee of $25 covers 3 submissions, exhibition and online promotion of your work and art reception in our beautiful community garden.
Local artists are encouraged to apply. We request each exhibiting artist be available to do two 2-hours volunteer gallery shifts (4 hours total).

Please use the following Naming Convention:Name-Title-Dimensions (hxw)-medium-price. Example: “artistname-CatsAtWork-Watercolor6″x6″$150.jpg”

Application Guidelines:
- All media is welcome (painting, photography, sculpture, installations, etc.)
- Submit up to 3 pieces/images that accurately represent your work.
- Do not exceed 30 seconds for Quicktime video clips.
- Images should be no smaller than 72 dpi or bigger than 300 dpi and should not exceed 2 MB per file.
- Save all files as Lastname_Firstname_Title_Dimensions_medium_price. If the submission file of artwork isn’t saved as requested, the work will not be considered.
Commission: Works that sell while on exhibit are subject to a 30% commission, artist retains 70% as long as the artist completes their 4 hours gallery shifts, otherwise a 50% commission may apply. Please take this into consideration when assigning artwork prices.
Additional required documents:
- Exhibition list outlining each artwork submitted with title, medium, size, year, and price (including commission)
- Resume or CV or Artist biography (100 words)
- Artist statement (100 words)

- All submissions must be sent through our Google Form.
- No email submissions will be accepted.
