Return of the Silly Pink Bunny

Many of you remember the Silly Pink Bunny sculpture that used to be on the corner of Haight and Laguna.

A few years ago, before a new construction project was scheduled to begin, a public funeral was held for the bunny.

A community supported fundraiser was organized by bunny artist Jeremy Fish, the Lower Haight Merchant + Neighbor Association and the Haight Street Art Center to “Bronze the Bunny”.

It was a tremendous success!

We cannot thank enough the individuals who donated—we have over 300 donors donating anywhere between $1 and $1,000. With the Haight Street Art Center providing $25,000, our community–local and far away–matched that donation to make enough money for permanent public art in the Lower Haight.

Bronzing the Silly Pink Bunny

A new 10-foot replica of was created for the project.

This spring, we hope you will swing by and welcome back the beloved bunny. It will be situated just up the block from it’s old home, in front of the new Haight Street Art Center being constructed on Haight between Laguna and Buchanan.

In the meantime, you can get your own bunny now!
